Planning Division
The Planning Division is the starting point for all new development and redevelopment within the city limits.
Our staff’s recommendations to the Planning & Zoning Commission and City Council provide creative guidance and effective implementation of land use development, planning, housing and policies and programs to maintain and enhance the City’s vision. The Planning Division also prepares special studies as needed, such as annexation, land use and housing studies, population estimates, and code amendments as warranted.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides guidance for land use development, long range planning, and housing.
- Processes permit and entitlement applications and ensure conformance with applicable ordinance and regulations.
- Respond to Planning and Zoning related questions.
- Implements Special Program.
